Grilled Guernsey Girl Cheese

The outside of the cheese becomes crisp and richly golden and the center will be gooey and rich.

Experiment with the thickness of your slices: Thinner slices will yield a crispier result and less of the gooey paste.

Ingredients

1\2 block of Guernsey Girl cheese sliced thick or cubed

Instructions

Slice Guernsey Girl into ½ inch slices or 1 inch cubes

Place on preheated BBQ, Grill, or Pan over medium heat  (No oils necessary) 

Flip when crispy and caramelized 

Continue to grill until desired colour is achieved 

Best enjoyed on their own as a healthy substitute for fried cheese cheese sticks

For an elevated version, try frying a slab of Guernsey Girl in a splash of olive oil, then deglaze the pan with ouzo, Pernod, or sambuca, and serve with slices of tomato and grilled bread.
